I enjoyed this and agree with everything except for maintenence cost is low. If you take care of it properly, it is extrememly expensive. Proper food, medical costs, heartworm medicine, bathing regularly, etc., etc. You need a savings account, and that's just for a healthy one. You need a loan if you have to go to the vet, where cost is revelent to size. But in all, I wouldn't trade mine for anything, he's worth every penny. But I think people need to be able to afford one before they get one or it might not get the care they need. Judy
Excellent! Described my English Mastiff to a T and loved learning the history.
I took my 'baby' to the vet today and at 5 months and 26 days he weighs in at 90 lbs! I agree with the maintenance. My Tank already eats more than the other dogs combined but I wouldnt trade him for nothing!
My daughter has a female bull mastiff (1-1/2 yrs.) and a golden retriever (32-1/2 yrs) in the last 2 weeks the mastiff has grabbed the retriever by the neck and won't let go. she has not bitten through but has terrified the retriever. Is it possible we have a problem here? please resopnd
Well written and well-researched, this gave me more than the information I was looking for. Enjoyed it!
